Vauxhall Surgery

Please note we will be closing the doors from 6pm Monday to Friday. The surgery will remain open for telephone consultations between 6pm and 6:30pm and urgent face to face appointments if required.

Tutshill Surgery

There is a receptionist and a dispenser present during the above hours.

All the doctors do a surgery at Tutshill at least once a week, but when one of the doctors is away a surgery may have to be cancelled at Tutshill.  The reception is manned however and if you need to see a doctor that day, you may be asked to go to Vauxhall Practice in Chepstow.

Please be aware that the telephone is transferred to Vauxhall Surgery when Tutshill Surgery is closed.

Dispensary

The dispensary is open at our Tutshill Surgery Monday to Friday 8:30am to 1pm and Monday and Friday afternoons 2pm to 5:30pm.

If you need help when we are closed

The out of hours service is available outside the surgery opening hours from 6:30pm to 8am

The telephone number to call is 0345 46 47 (or 111 if you are resident in Monmouthshire).

The doctor may give you advice, arrange for a prescription, ask you to attend an emergency centre or, if appropriate, arrange for a GP to visit you at home. Patients will be seen either at the Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport, or Nevill Hall Hospital, Abergavenny.

Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is responsible for commissioning the out of hours service

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
