When We Are Closed

The out of hours service is available outside the surgery opening hours from 18:30 to 08:00.

The telephone number to call is 0345 46 47 (or 111 if you are resident in Monmouthshire).

The doctor may give you advice, arrange for a prescription, ask you to attend an emergency centre or, if appropriate, arrange for a GP to visit you at home. Patients will be seen either at the Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport, or Nevill Hall Hospital, Abergavenny. 

Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is responsible for commissioning the out of hours service

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
