CHANGE TO ONLINE PRESCRIPTION ORDERING SERVICE
The NHS Wales App will replace My Health Online by the end of December 2023 and you will no longer be able to order your medication through MHOL from 1 January 2024. Therefore please download the App today and register.
CHANGE TO APPOINTMENT SYSTEM
We are in the process of changing our appointment system in line with other local practices.
From 17th July 2023 we will be asking all patients who require an appointment with our clinical teams or help with an administrative matter to submit a request via the Klinik link on the home page of our practice website:
www.vauxhallpractice.co.uk
Klinik is a quick and easy way to contact the practice without the need to wait in a queue on the telephone.
The medical team will triage each Klinik request and offer appointments according to clinical need.
Please submit a Klinik form for the following types of requests:
- Appointment with the Medical Team
- Prescription/Medication Requests
- Administration Queries/Requests
- Nursing Enquiries
If you need help in completing a Klinik form our receptionists will be pleased to assist you.

CHANGE TO CLOSING TIMES
Please be advised that in line with current Health Board guidance, Vauxhall Practice will be locking the door at the main surgery site in Chepstow from 6pm each evening. The telephone lines will be open until 6:30pm as usual.
This change will come into effect on Monday 20th February 2023.

HIGH LEVELS OF RESPIRATORY ILLNESS (ABUHB)
GP Surgeries across Monmouthshire and Gwent are currently experiencing high levels of patients presenting with respiratory illnesses such as coughs, flu, and Covid-19.
This has resulted in significant increase in the volume of urgent same day contacts, much higher than is usual at this time of year on an ongoing basis. GP Practices are doing everything they can to accommodate individuals who clinically need to be dealt with the same day.
Due to this additional pressure, the wait for non-urgent, routine appointments may be longer than usual. We appreciate your understanding when practices need to take these measures to ensure safe and timely care for those with severe illness, especially when speaking to practice staff and call handlers who are supporting the clinical teams at this challenging time.
